Melanie Griffith Undergoes Cancer Surgery

Melanie Griffith has undergone surgery to remove the early stages of skin cancer.

Griffith's rep told the Associated Press that the actress had early-stage skin cancer removed from her face. The news organization reports that the procedure left Griffith with a black eye, but that the cancer was caught early enough to prevent further complications.
