As the clock struck midnight on Jan. 1, 2001, Kate Hudson married Chris Robinson before 70 guests at the Aspen home of her parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. But the stork-awaiting star's future aisle-walk with newly minted fiancé Matt Bellamy will apparently be a whole lot "grander."
"Her first wedding was done quickly and a lot of her friends weren't there," a source explains to Us Weekly. "So now she wants to have a big fancy party!"
Word is Kate plans to wait until after the baby is born before slipping into a bridal mode, although her Muse-fronting fiancé is said to be eager to make things official.
"He's very traditional," says the insider. "He would marry her tomorrow if her could."
