The German actress, who was born in Münster and raised in Dülmen, Germany, studied theater in her homeland before migrating to New York City to pursue her career more seriously. She scored her first big hit with cult classic "Run Lola Run" but didn't officially jump the pond until 2002, when she starred opposite Matt Damon in "The Bourne Identity."
