Stylist: Why Drew Barrymore Dyed Her Hair Red

Better off red? Drew Barrymore rocked a fiery new hue at a book party in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

The star, 36, joined Hilary Duff, Fergie and Channing Tatum to celebrate the launch of celeb nutritionist Kimberly Snyder's "The Beauty Detox Solution."

Barrymore is a chameleon when it comes to changing up her hair color, rocking everything from platinum blond to her most recent extreme umber look. So why go red?

"Drew just felt like trying out red, and it looks great on her. She loves it!" says Tracey Cunningham, Redken creative consultant for color.

Could her sexy auburn locks have something to do with her hot romance? The star and her new beau Will Kopelman, 33, an art consultant and the son of former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman, have been spending a lot of time together.

Will is "a socialite type and a playboy," an insider tells Us.

Barrymore isn't the only star to make a red-hot hair statement this month. Just last week Whitney Port debuted a new reddish color at SVEDKA's Night of a Billion Reality Stars party in L.A.
