Ellen squeezed some lovey-dovey comments about Justin Bieber out of Selena Gomez on a recent episode of her show, but getting Katie Holmes to say the "p" word proved a little more complicated. On Friday's edition of "Ellen DeGeneres," Katie is confronted about a photograph of her holding her 4-year-old daughter, Suri, who is in turn holding a bag of gummy candy shaped like, as Ellen puts it, "boy parts."
"I was horrified," Katie gasps, explaining that she had taken Suri out for ice cream at New York sweet spot, Serendipity, where "the clientele is children." As they waited for a table, Katie says, Suri grabbed a package of "p-e-n-i-s gummies," while a super-serendipitous paparazzo snapped away. "They are called p-e-n-i-s gummies and they look like it," squeals Katie. "She was holding the box and I was like, 'OK, wow, we don’t need that right now. Because I thought if I said put that back and then she’s going to say, 'what is this?' And I really didn’t want to have that conversation." Ellen thoughtfully summarized: "So now people think you're feeding your child p-e-n-i-s gummy bears." (JustJared)
