Ireland Baldwin wants to 'be an inspirational model'
It must be National Healthy Model Week. On the heels of Kate Upton's Vogue cover comes an interview with Ireland Basinger Baldwin, the 17-year-old daughter of Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin, in which the newly minted 6'2" model expresses her dream of inspiring women to see beauty in health. "I want to be an inspirational model," Baldwin tells People. "I want people to look at me and say, 'Wow, she looks healthy.'"
Having overcome a slew of online haterade about her looks and her family, Baldwin sounds focused on her work (she inked her first modeling contract in March) and is excited about changes at home.
"I have always wanted a sibling!" she says of her new stepmother, Hilaria Thomas' pregnancy. "I'm so excited to meet my sister. I want her to know that I'm here for her whenever she needs," says Ireland. "I love Hilaria. She saved my dad, getting him in amazing shape. And she brought him out of a bad place of being lonely."
