Tiger Woods is expected to break his silence today, talking to the police about his morning accident on Friday outside his Orlando, Florida home and the events that led up to him leaving his house at 2:25 a.m.
Woods' wife Elin will also be interviewed but no statements have been made as of yet and the pro golfer is not required to give one, a Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson told the Associated Press.
According to the accident report, the acclaimed golfer had just pulled out of his driveway in his Cadillac SUV when his car struck a fire hydrant, leaving the front of his vehicle stuck in a tree. Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor told AP that Woods' wife told officers that she heard the accident from inside their house and broke the back window of the vehicle with a golf club.
A 911 call was made by Woods' neighbor but it has not been released.
