Following the passing of his mother in early December, Tyler Perry is looking forward to getting back into his 'Madea' character to rediscover his love of laughter. He posted a message on his website saying, "I need to laugh and make you laugh even harder."
After taking a break from work to spend quality time with his ailing mom, Tyler is ready to take his show on the road, premiering a new theatre production titled "Madea's Big Happy Family." The tour kicks off on January 4, 2010 in El Paso, Texas.
Tyler still finds it difficult to confront and discuss the loss of his beloved mother who he describes as "the apple of my eye." He advises fans to "take care of your mothers…you only get one."
