Rockabilly icon Wanda Jackson's next album will have a modern spin - she's hired White Stripes star Jack White to produce it.
The singer and ex-girlfriend of Elvis Presley called on White after hearing his 2004 collaboration with country star Loretta Lynn, and discovering he was a fan.
Jackson, 72, tells the Oklahoman newspaper, "(He's) one of the biggest stars on the planet right now."
And she's vowed to let White give her a new sound on the album, adding "(White and Lynn) had a super album, but he didn't have her do anything different. She just did her little Loretta Lynn songs. But he told me he's gonna stretch me some."
Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year (09).
