But Christina didn't settle for just releasing music in English. On Sept. 12, 2000, she put out her first Spanish-language album, titled "Mi Reflejo." The album contained Spanish versions of songs from her self-titled debut, plus some new material. (Fun fact: Christina had to learn all the lyrics phonetically because she doesn't speak Spanish.) The following day, she attended the first-ever Latin Grammys, where she was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Genio Atrapado." Although she lost out to Shakira, she won big the following year, taking home Best Female Pop Vocal Album for "Mi Reflejo."
