The 17-year-old appeared in Cook County juvenile court in Illinois earlier this week on Jan. 15, 2013, to face allegations he illegally fired a weapon during a video interview at a New York gun range last year, which went against the terms of probation on a 2011 firearms conviction.

The judge remanded him in custody and on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, he was sent to a juvenile detention center for 60 days. He will be given the right to appeal the ruling after 30 days behind bars.
