Flash of Anger: Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus Snap at Paps

Wonderwall, Friday, September 17, 2010, 9:54am (PDT)

Celebrity has its privileges, what with the fame, fortune, fan worship and the right to wear ridiculous clothes in public. But there are times when all a star wants to do is enjoy some fuss-free hang-time with pals. The paparazzi, however, don't always play along.

Take Adam Lambert, who was chilling on a beach in Miami with his buddies on Thursday when photographers started snapping away.

Perhaps miffed that he would be documented for posterity sans glittery makeup and wearing Dorothy Zbornak's post-cataract surgery sunglasses and a straw hat that may as well have had "tourist" stitched across the brim, the "American Idol" runner-up confronted one of the shutterbugs.

"Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!" he tweeted. "They're real good at provoking, but there ain't any pics or video of the bs they spew out... Haha well... I lost my temper for a sec but wow it felt great lol MIAMI!!!"

He sure looked fired up when confronting the lensman. In pictures of the incident, he grapples with the mostly smiling snapper before one of his friends turns up and appears to try to pull him away.

"Hahha the photos are hilarious !!" Adam added. "Lol please everyone forgive me for that hat. - I was attempting a disguise- clearly failed. Hahah."

He's probably not laughing now, however. The photographer filed a police report on Thursday night accusing Lambert of misdemeanor battery, reports TMZ.

The snapper contends that the singer ran toward him in "an aggressive manner," made a grab for his backpack "where the camera was placed" and "wrestled [him] to the ground forcefully." (Sidenote: In photos of the incident, the photog, who apparently didn't suffer any injuries, had a camera in his hand.)

Lambert's weapons, as detailed in the report, were "hands, fist, feet."

No word on whether Adam will be charged, but if convicted, he could be looking at a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

He's taking the possibility in stride.

"Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground," he tweeted on Friday. "It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime- thats all I'm guilty of."

Meanwhile, over in Los Angeles, Miley Cyrus gave the lips of back-on boyfriend Liam Hemsworth a break on Wednesday night to join galpal Demi Lovato for dinner.

After an animated conversation over Asian cuisine, the pair exited the eatery and obligingly smiled for the staked-out photogs. But as the flashbulb explosion blinded them, Miley began to lose her patience.

"No, no, stop, for real," she told the paps, who continued to shoot away even as she turned her back to face a wall (watch the video here). "You got your shot. You got it! Yes, you did! Well, you're not getting another one!"

After a few more moments of looking trapped and surrounded, the starlet, 17, her arm over her eyes, made a break for her SUV, climbed in, honked her horn to clear a path and drove away.

This was the second paparazzi run-in Miley had this week. On Monday, she needed police backup when photographers swarmed her car.

Unfortunately, her problems continued on Thursday when cops spotted a man "lurking around" her house. Turns out the skulker wasn't a paparazzo, as initially suspected.

TMZ reports it was 14-year-old kid from Australia, who had seen Cyrus' estate while on a celebrity bus tour earlier in the day. He apparently decided to check out the house on his own.

Police reportedly escorted him back to his family at a nearby hotel, and no charges were filed.
