Girlfriend: I Love DJ AM "Very Much"

In the new issue of Us Weekly, DJ AM's most recent girlfriend, model Hayley Wood, opens up about his death for the first time.

Two weeks before DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein, was found dead of an apparent overdose at age 36 on Aug. 28, he and Wood, 22, his girlfriend of nearly a year, split, according to multiple outlets. Sources also tell Us the two had called it quits.

But in an exclusive statement to Usmagazine.com, Wood says: "Any indication that this horribly tragic accident happened because of a rumored breakup is not only untrue but disgusting. We were very much together at the time of his passing, and I love him very much."
