As many a sad song has pointed out, you don't know what you have until it's gone. It's a sentiment director Rupert Sanders may be experiencing in the wake of his caught-on-camera make-out session with his "Snow White and the Huntsman" leading lady Kristen Stewart.
Sanders' wife, Liberty Ross (that's her on the left), stepped out in Los Angeles on Sunday and Monday sans her gold wedding ring (see the pics here), which she's previously worn while posing with him on the red carpet. His band remains on his finger.
"Rupert is willing to do absolutely anything and everything he can to save his marriage," a source tells Radar Online. "He realizes this is the worst mistake of his life, and he cannot believe he was so stupid."
Ross, who has two children with Sanders (she also played Snow White's mother in the flick), seems to agree. She's reportedly cut off contact with him while she figures things out.
"Liberty is not making this easy for Rupert, not surprisingly," explains the insider. "She is refusing to see him right now and has not spoken to him about if they have a future together or not."
