Nick Jonas turning talent scout for next big pop star

Nick Jonas is on the hunt for the next big pop superstar - he's launching an online talent competition, offering one lucky child the chance to collaborate with the singer.

Jonas has teamed up with bosses behind the nutritional snack Quaker Chewy Granola Bars and is urging parents of wannabe stars between the ages of eight to 14 to submit videos of their kids'; best performances for consideration.

The winner of the Quaker Chewy Superstar Search will receive a song produced by Jonas, an Internet music video, a contract with Jonas Group Management and $5,000 in cash.

He says, "Making music is my passion in life and the best way I know how to express myself. I wanted to be part of the Quaker Chewy Superstar Search to help other young musicians make music and follow their dreams."

Participants are invited to start submitting their entries on the Quaker website starting June 9.
