You've worked with Lil Wayne a number of times now. What makes him such a great collaborative partner?

He's so versatile. If I want to talk about Katrina, he writes an amazing song about that. If you want to make a romance record, he can also romance, too. So he's a very versatile lyricist. We have a cool meeting of the minds when we get together. We both try to push the envelope and do new things, so we both respect each other in that way.

What's something about Lil Wayne that people wouldn't expect?

He's just the hardest-working cat. And he's so smart; he doesn't even have to write anything down. He just thinks in lyrics, like [Bob] Dylan or [John] Lennon, some of the greats. They would just think in lyric all day.
