Romance Report: Are Madonna & Guy Making Jesus 'Uncomfortable'?

She hinted that he was "emotionally retarded." He supposedly told pals that snuggle-time with her "was like cuddling a piece of gristle." But now, six months after their acrimonious divorce was finalized, Madonna and Guy Ritchie may be back on relatively cordial terms. The London Daily Mail says the exes are "getting along better," a situation that's supposedly not sitting well with the Big M's Brazilian model minion, Jesus Luz, 22. "Guy is with Madonna a lot these days, and was invited to a party at her house with some of their mutual friends last weekend," alleges an insider. "It's uncomfortable for Jesus having to be around Guy so much and very hypocritical -- Madonna has banned Jesus from speaking to any of his ex-girlfriends." (Anyone else find it hard to believe that Luz expected parity from the 50-year-old pop icon, who's rich and powerful enough to have him on the first plane back home with a flick of her pinky finger? Thought so.) Anyhoo, Ritchie is also said to "adore" Madonna's newly adopted daughter Mercy, 4, who was snapped having a blast in Paris over the weekend with brothers Rocco, 9, and David, 3, and sister Lourdes, 12. Luz, for his part, didn't join in on the family's jaunt to Paris, where Madonna was performing on her Sticky & Sweet tour. On Saturday, he was seen exiting the Kabbalah Center in New York.

In other romance news, Kate Hudson is racking up plenty of frequent flier miles in order to stick close to Alex Rodriguez. The actress, who has been spotted with her New York Yankees beau in New York, Miami and Dallas over the past couple of months, joined him in Los Angeles over the weekend, where his team lost a three-game series against the Angels. On the plus side, Kate and A-Rod scored some spiffy new duds. RadarOnline.com reports the PDA-disposed squeezes enjoyed a private, after-hours shopping spree at Barneys in Beverly Hills, which supposedly included one-on-one modeling sessions. The paparazzi were also along for the outing and captured the pair, who have tried to avoid being photographed together, as they drove away. In between upgrading her wardrobe, Hudson spent time working on her tan poolside in Newport Beach with 5-year-old son Ryder.

Meanwhile, is Lindsay Lohan's light bulb relationship status with Samantha Ronson leading her to try to make new friends? The London Sun claims the attention-craving, producing-minded starlet has attempted to buddy up to coif-challenged British lothario Russell Brand at several Hollywood shindigs in recent weeks, including Diddy's Fourth of July White Party, only to be met with a cold shoulder. "Lindsay is a very good-looking girl and she is used to getting what she wants," maintains a mole. "Russell has been on her radar for a while now but he doesn't want anything to do with her." Lohan doesn't seem too broken up over the alleged snub. She had a busy weekend, turning up at a clambake in Malibu on Saturday (alas, she didn't actually eat any of the tasty bivalves) and Sam's Los Angeles home on Sunday night.

Leonardo DiCaprio is apparently pitching lots of woo in the wake of his recent rumored breakup with Bar Refaeli, his bikini-posing model-girlfriend of three years. The A-lister was spied chatting up "two stunning mystery" ladies at a Manhattan bar last week, says the New York Post. He was also seen at a couple of other hot spots "with a bunch of dudes, talking to girls," says a source. This follows a similar report from late last month that claimed DiCaprio was checking out the talent at Los Angeles club MyHouse, where he was "whispering and sitting close" to a blonde and a brunette.

"I'm a single girl. I'm having fun. I'm on the market!" So said Hayden Panettiere last week when asked about rumors of a romance with lady-killing British TV host Steve Jones, with whom she spent quality yacht time in the South of France back in May. But is the starlet, 19, less available than she's led on? RadarOnline.com caught Panettiere perched on Jones' lap during a recent night out at a Los Angeles eatery, a sighting that likely left Jeremy Piven grumbling about his lack of game. According to the New York Post, the mercury-overloaded actor had his eye on the actress -- again -- during the "Entourage" premiere last Thursday in Los Angeles. "Piven was looking Hayden Panettiere up and down in between sips of vodka and soda," says a source. The "Heroes" cutie is 24 years Jeremy's junior, or, to put it into terms he'll understand, she's an entire Playboy Bunny younger than he is.
