Wonderwall, Tuesday, March 24, 2009, 8:52pm (PDT) Last night at Hollywood's Genghis Cohen restaurant, DJ-musician-whatever Samantha Ronson serenaded girlfriend Lindsay Lohan with a devastating new song she wrote about their tumultuous relationship. You can see the video here.
Sam dedicated the acoustic breakup ballad to Lindsay (who was actually sitting in the front row) by saying, "You get your heart broken sometimes, and then you unbreak it, and break it again." (So profound, so ... heartbreaking.)
For your sing-along pleasure, we've taken the liberty of transcribing Sam's masterpiece below. Look out, Lilith Fair!
"In and Out"
By Samantha Ronson
Trying to remember
Who you were when we first met
Because I can't see you in your eyes
Don't wanna remember
Who you were when we first met
Because there's no truth left in your eyes
So I won't follow where you go
Or follow you out of control
Cause I hold on
Then you let go
I'm falling after you
In and out of love
Yeah I hold on
You let go
I'm falling after you
In and out of love
Don't wanna remember
Who you were when we last met
Because I see the light back in your eyes
Trying to forget
Just who you were when we last met
And I couldn't look you in those eyes
Cause I still follow where you go
I follow you out of control
Yeah i hold on
You let go
I'm falling after you
In and out of love
Yeah I hold on
You let go
I'm falling after you
In and out of love
In and out of love
