Anne Hathaway: 'I'm Not Cool'

Sure, Anne Hathaway is beautiful, talented and successful -- but she's not sure she has the whole package. The "Les Miserables" star opens up about her public persona in the new issue of Vanity Fair, expressing concern that her image is now solidified as "vanilla."

"I'm not Rihanna. I'm not cool," says Hathaway, who recently turned 30. "When people come up to me in the street, they often want a hug, not a photo, and they want that because they like my work. For a long time it was me and [my manager] against the world. I was seen as this bizarre-world good-girl cartoon that I in no way identified with – very vanilla, very sweet, very accessible and not interesting. I had no grit, no sex appeal." As for her 30-year milestone, Hathaway admits that she's nervous what 30 will mean for her career. "'It doesn't help that the new crop of girls is so gorgeous, and so 22 years old," she says.
