True love is apparently blind when it comes to spelling. During an appearance on the "Jackie O" radio show in Australia (via FOX), Jenny McCarthy regaled listeners with the romantic tale of her fiance, Donnie Wahlberg's marriage proposal.
"I was sitting on the couch doing what every girl does saying 'tell me how much you love me' when he [Donnie] left the room. He and my son Evan came running back in holding a piece of paper saying 'WILL,'" she said. Evan and Donnie then "ran out and returned carrying another piece of paper with the word 'YOU,' and then disappeared and ran back in with another piece of paper that read 'MARY' …" There was just one problem with that last piece of paper, though. "[He] misspelled it without the second 'R,'" McCarthy admitted.
Despite the grammatical gaffe, when Wahlberg presented the final piece of the puzzle -- a T-shirt he'd put on that read, "Me" -- his bride-to-be burst out in tears. Her answer? A resounding "yes." (Or is that "ys" …)
