Luckily for Rihanna's roadies, when they got popped for pot possession, they were simply crossing a national border -- not a state line into Texas. A Canadian customs agent confirmed to E! that while crossing from Canada into Detroit on Wednesday, her tour caravan was given a "secondary inspection due to the strong odor of marijuana emanating from one of the buses. A search of the individual resulted in the discovery of a small amount of marijuana and [a] civil penalty [was] assessed."
RiRi was not on board the buses as they were cleared to enter the U.S. But she might wanna instruct her crew to tighten up before they get any closer to Sierra Blanca, Texas, where tour bus weed busts of Fiona Apple, Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, Armie Hammer and Matthew McConaughey have resulted in arrests, mug shots and big 'ol bail bonds.
