Taylor Swift spends hours with young patients at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
Taylor Swift's famous friends aren't the only ones getting a dose of her quality time this spring. Over the weekend, what was scheduled to be a one-hour trip to New York Hospital Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center turned into a nearly five-hour hang with a slew of patients. E! News reports that Tay-Tay visited "each patient's room" to talk, take a few selfies and get to know what little girls like Shelby Huff are going through.
Huff is being treated for post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease, and after the pop star's visit, her mom shared photos of the new friends on Shelby's Facebook page.
"We are still in awe," Shelby's mom wrote. "Taylor Swift is a class act all around, she was so sweet, compassionate, asked US questions, got on skype with my other daughter, stayed in our room and talked with us and was completely down to earth. She hung out with us for at least 15-20 minutes. She was "scheduled" to be on our floor for 1 hour, but was here for 4.5 hours instead. Thank you Taylor, you are a beautiful woman inside and out!!"
