Ariana Grande proved she's here to stay -- and that she has a sense of humor -- as she won the New Artist of the Year prize at the 2013 American Music Awards. After drawing raves on the red carpet in her body-hugging Dolce & Gabbana sequined gown, the 20-year-old diva-in-training earned a standing ovation for her performance of "Tattooed Heart" that was reminiscent of old-school Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera. Then as she took to the stage to accept her award -- clearly shocked -- she endeared herself even more. "I'm so nervous," she explained as she reached down the front of her dress and pulled out a list of names she needed to thank. "My mom made me this thing," she explained of her makeshift speech, sweetly growing more frazzled as the clock ticked down, "and I have it in here so that I don't forget anybody!"
