Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are working hard to quiet hookup chatter, which grew louder after they celebrated New Year's together at the actress' Austin, Texas, eatery. "It's On!" declares the latest issue of Us Weekly while OK! opines, "Yes, They're Together." No, they're not, a Reynolds insider scoffs to People magazine. The speculation "is ridiculous," insists the source. "They have been friends for 10 years and they celebrated New Year's with others. That's it. They really are just friends."
Sandra's rep also dismissed the romance rumors, explaining that it was simply a "group of old friends ... ringing the New Year as they have in the past." (Only this year they did it without Jesse James and Scarlett Johansson.) Spies at the New Year's festivities didn't observe any unusually affectionate behavior between the "Proposal" stars. "They were having a good time," a spy tells People. "They danced together. They ate together. They laughed a lot. But I didn't see any making out or anything."
