A judge in Massachusetts dismissed the case brought against the newswoman by a female who alleged she was a former lover of Walters' adopted daughter, and was kicked out of the exclusive Wykeham Rise School because of the lesbian romance.

The star briefly mentioned the woman in her 2008 autobiography, "Audition: A Memoir" -- but didn't name her.

Walters simply stated she was kicked out of school for "bad behavior".

Nancy Shay has since come forward, claiming she was the girl in question -- and she accused Walters of having her kicked out of the school because of her romance with the newscaster's daughter.

Walters moved to dismiss the lawsuit last year.

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge George O'Toole ruled he could not believe the plaintiff had been damaged in any way because of the "oblique references" to her in Walters' book.
