Paris Hilton's rumored plan to take down the fame-gaining Kardashian sisters by playing up her "stable relationship" with boyfriend Doug Reinhardt may have hit a snag.
TMZ claims the couple got into a "knock-down, drag-out" fight in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, prompting a visit from the police.

The officers were reportedly responding to a call about "drunk people arguing."
The alleged altercation went down in the driveway of the starlet's Hollywood Hills home, with a spy spotting Doug climbing into his car as Paris loudly pleaded, "Don't go! Don't go!"
That's when things are said to have turned from annoyingly dramatic to really dysfunctional.

According to the eyewitness (probable identity: a fed-up neighbor who's fuming over paying top dollar for a house and having to deal with these shenanigans), Reinhardt hopped out from behind the wheel and the two began "shoving each other."
Eventually, they made their way back up the driveway.
When the boys in blue showed up, they had a chat with Hilton and left, presumably after issuing a warning for the pair to stick a sock in their fried bologna holes.
Paris, however, adamantly denies that she and Doug got into it, placing the blame squarely on her honey's "houseguests from hell."

"Doug and I were in bed, sound asleep ... We had nothing to do with it," she insists to TMZ. "Doug told the LAPD that his guests' fight was over and that we had nothing to do with it."
Hours earlier, Hilton and Reinhardt were all smiles as they put on a lovey-dovey display at the launch of her latest moneymaking venture, a combination curling iron and flat iron dubbed the Celebrity Styler.
But Doug, who briefly parted ways with the promotionally minded blonde in June, just weeks after they started hinting at wedding bells, kept things vague when asked about making things legal.

"We'll see what happens," he told Hollyscoop. "Things are going really well. I'm really happy. We've been together for over a year now, so you never know what's gonna happen. We're having a lot of fun. She's great. She's awesome."
Some of the fun they've been having includes dressing up in matching tutu-riffic fairy costumes on Halloween. Too bad their night of sugar-fueled revelry ended on a sour note (anyone sensing a worrisome pattern here?).
Paris purportedly went ballistic after Doug winged her phone out of the window of their limo, a move that eyewitnesses allege led to yelling (her at him), then slapping and kicking (her again) and finally a throat grab (his hands, her neck).

"It got very physical," a mole told the New York Post. "The limo driver was horrified!"
But Hilton's rep downplayed the incident, telling E! News that the phone accidentally went flying when Reinhardt tried to toss it to another pal in the car.
"There was never a choking incident," maintained the mouthpiece, before acknowledging, "Paris was annoyed with Doug because she was afraid that the paparazzi would get her phone."
For those keeping track, Wednesday's noise complaint is the fourth lodged against Paris and Doug in recent months.
Back in May, police turned up twice at Reinhardt's place, once following a raucous party and again after he and Hilton apparently had a shouting match (please see the worrisome pattern reference above).
Officers were also called to Paris' pad late last month after some friends tossed a wild bash, although she says she wasn't home at the time, which we're sure made her neighbors feel so much better.
