Gladys Knight: I Lost 60 Pounds on 'DWTS'

  • Gladys Knight may not have snagged this season's Mirrorball trophy on "Dancing With the Stars," but the 67-year-old Motown singer earned another prize worth celebrating: She lost 60 pounds!

    Eliminated Tuesday over Roshon Fegan, Knight told Us Weekly after the show that she has her pro partner Tristan McManus to thank in large part for her weight loss.

    "I'm going to keep Tristan. He can come over and work me out," Knight -- who kicked off her weight loss journey prior to joining the cast -- says of her plan to keep the pounds off post-"DWTS."

    In addition to logging countless hours in the dance studio with McManus during rehearsals, Knight stuck to the Freshology meal delivery service and munched on Power Bars and fruit in between meals.

    Keeping up with Fegan when the celebs took part in a dance duel performing simultaneous jive routines, Knight doesn't feel she was at a disadvantage compared to the 20-year-old actor. "It didn't really matter what dance they chose as long as you are able to put it together and execute it," she explained when asked if it was tough to keep up with the routine due to her age. "I thought we had a good dance and they felt that someone else did a better job of it.

    Despite her exit, Knight has vowed to continue her active lifestyle. "I will keep dancing," says the star. "I really love it!"
