Amanda and Josh's Cool-Down Period
Just in time for summer, Amanda Seyfried and Josh Hartnett are "cooling down." That's the word from Us Weekly, which blames proximity for the low-key pair's seemingly lukewarm feelings.
"She's kind of a super-clingy girlfriend and he doesn't want that," explains a Hartnett pal. "He really likes his space and she wasn't happy about that."
That's quite a different story from what insiders were saying back in April, when the starlet, 26, supposedly called things off because she was too busy filming "Les Miserables" in London to spend time with the actor, 33. Sources claimed she was also still hung up on her ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper.
And though the Hartnett confidant says that they're "not totally done," things are "definitely cooling down on his terms."
But another spy points out that Amanda "keeps him guessing, which he likes," but he's just not a one-woman kinda guy.
"His pattern is to get tired of girls," says the source. "They were really hot for each other for a while, but she had to go to London for 'Les Mis' [filming] and she's been there for months. He went to visit a few times, but they just didn't end up caring enough to work that hard for it."
Guess their mutual love of dogs wasn't enough to keep them together.
Still, the insider adds with a sigh (and a slight air of condescension), "They might hook up when she's back in town. He thinks she's fun and interesting."
