Jessica Simpson is suddenly everywhere talking up her soon-to-debut reality show, "The Price of Beauty," but the preferred topic of conversation remains her love life.
During a chat with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Tuesday, she reiterated how disappointed she is in ex John Mayer over his explosive nookie comments.
"That's truly how I felt and still feel," said Jess. "You can only just hope that somebody that you have cared about for a really long time, you can just hope they can keep the intimate things intimate."
On the flip side, she has only kind words for Billy Corgan, who recently declared of the starlet, "My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do. It's really simple."
But, despite reports to the contrary, it seems that love remained purely platonic.
"I can't find good enough words to speak about Billy. He's a very, very dear friend," she says of the Smashing Pumpkins front man, who helped her with the theme song, "Who We Are," for her show. "For him to give his time and his talents and share them with me, it was a great experience. And I hope we can do more music together."
Jessica also has nice things to say about Tony Romo, who provided a shoulder to lean on during the darkest days of Mom Jeans-Gate.
"Tony was so great and so supportive and never ever made me feel like I wasn't sexy," admitted the starlet, who reportedly got dumped by the Dallas Cowboys quarterback on the night before her 29th birthday last July. "I was embarrassed by what the world was saying [about my weight], but I still had my friends and loved ones and family that appreciated me and knew it was just for people to sell magazines."
Speaking of people who appreciate her, Jeremy Renner is scratching his head over reports that he was recently seen getting his flirt on with Simpson ...
The "Hurt Locker" star tells Us that a quick chat about his mother's coiffure prompted talk that he was putting the moves on Simpson at a private party in Los Angeles.
"Her hair stylist [Ken Paves] did my mom's hair, so we were talking about that -- and then all of a sudden [people said] we're dating!" says the bewildered actor of their "three minute" conversation. "I'm not a ladies' man! I'm a working man! That's all."
Renner also reiterates that he's "single and looking," which might explain why conclusions were so quickly drawn when he was seen looking friendly with a fellow Oscar nominee during Sunday's festivities. Click over to the Romance Report for more ...
