Report: Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino In Rehab

The Situation is in rehab, according to reports.

The "Jersey Shore" star is currently checked into an inpatient treatment program at an undisclosed location reports TMZ, which was the first outlet to break the news of his treatment. GossipCop also confirmed the rehab report.

A rep for The Situation, whose real name is Mike Sorrentino, said that he "has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule." But after the news broke, the rep clarified to E! News that The Situation was not in rehab for substance abuse.

The Situation later tweeted: "Don't believe everything you read or hear." The MTV star is a fixture at many clubs across the country, often earning tens of thousands of dollars to make nightclub appearances. His business is also tied into the nightlife game: He is the spokesperson for a protein-infused Vodka called Devotion.

Just yesterday, MTV announced that all the cast members, including Situation, have signed on for Season 6 of "The Jersey Shore," which is to begin filming this summer.
