Pal: Jessica Simpson Loving This Moment Before Giving Birth

  • It's the final countdown for the birth of Jessica Simpson's daughter, and though it's been almost two weeks since the 31-year-old star has been seen out and about, she's in great spirits.

    "She's [doing] amazing," Ken Paves, Simpson's hairstylist pal of many years, told Us Weekly at Wednesday's ELLE magazine Women in Music bash at Avalon in Hollywood, Calif. "This is so perfect for her," Paves added. "She's just loving this moment now."

    Although the ninth month of pregnancy is uncomfortable for any mom, the "Fashion Star" mentor "glows all the time," Paves raved. "[She's] as happy as can be!"

    Paves dished on his baby gift for his longtime friend, who plans to marry the father-to-be, Eric Johnson, after their daughter's birth.

    "I got her two really cool heirlooms that she can have," Paves hinted. "One will be in the family forever ... and be passed on to generation after generation."

    Until that birthdate arrives, the style mogul has said she's ditched her beloved high heels.

    "This little lady in my belly throws off my balance" Simpson told Us Weekly recently. "I'm flat-footed, so cute flats and ballet slippers are comical on my feet." She's opted instead for Havaianas flip-flops.
