Snoop Dogg's call for a cameo on hit vampire drama "True Blood" has been rebuffed -- the show's star Sam Trammell insists the series does not need superstars to entice viewers.
The rapper is a huge fan of the racy bloodsucking series, and urged TV bosses to get in touch with him to organize a guest appearance.
He recently said, "I love that show. I wish I could be on it. I'd be a hell of a vampire, don't you think? So what's happenin'? 'True Blood,' get at me - Snoop Dogg wants to be a vampire."
But at a U.K. convention earlier this month, "True Blood" shapeshifter Trammel admits the show's creator Alan Ball is not keen on giving the rapper a tryout.
He tells fans, "Apparently Snoop has wanted to be on the show from the beginning, but I don't think Alan Ball is going to let that happen.
"Having such a high-profile person appear in the show, I think it would take us all out of Bon Temps (show's location). (Alan) doesn't need to cast Snoop Dogg to get people to watch."
