Will Smith Explains Reporter-Slapping Incident on ‘Late Night'

"Men In Black III" star Will Smith dropped by "Late Night With David Letterman" Monday, where he opened up about how he came to slap a Ukrainian journalist earlier this month. "I was in Moscow and we were doing an interview," Smith recalled. "[The journalist] says, 'I'm your biggest fan, can I have a hug please?' So I go to give this joker a hug and he, like, tries to lean in and kiss me … It's just awkward." Officials for the event later apologized to Smith, explaining that the kiss was simply part of reporter's "shtick." Quipped Will: "Well, that's why his a-- got schtuck." (ET)
